Shop Till You Drop!

In March 2009, an expansion at the Promenade Mall site was completed and a $100 million dollar, 126,000-square-foot "lifestyle" center was created. The lifestyle area was built on the former parking lot between Macy's and the Edwards Cinema, and the expansion included several upscale stores. This area was created to draw people into our mall, instead of the neighboring malls in Carlsbad and Escondido.

Another upgrade to the mall was the road circling the mall. The “Promenade Mall Loop” now has traffic lights to make driving easier.

The Promenade Mall has over 150 specialty locations, including a theater equipped with stadium style seating and a state of the art IMAX Theater at Edwards 15. The two major renovations have changed the face of The Promenade Mall significantly since it opened.
