Welcome to the New Bel Vino Winery
Stuart Cellars Winery has a new owner and a new name. From their first harvest back in 1999 on their 40 acre Vineyard, Start Cellars is now sold! This magnificent winery was bought this month (November, 2011) by Mike Janko, an investor from Salt Lake City.
Stuart Cellars Winery - Under New Management
The new owner wanted to renamed the winery "Bel Vino," Italian for "fine wine," and is planning numerous improvements, he said in an email announcement.
During the next 18 months, an exterior makeover of the winery building will be done that will include more renovations including a spacious outdoor covered patio seating area, a permanent indoor event center and a spectacular wedding & outdoor event venue.
Janko came across Stuart Cellars during a trip to Temecula a few years ago. Unfortunately for Janko, it was not on the market at the time he approached the owners about purchasing it.

“Because of my interest in the wine industry, Stuart Cellars was a natural fit for the diversification of the investment portfolio," Janko said in the announcement.
Marshall Stuart will continue in his role as winemaker, and Susan Stewart will act as vice president of sales and marketing.
