 Down town in Old Town you will find the Temecula Farmers Market. For anyone that has never experienced this spectacle you have severely been missing out.
Every Saturday hundreds of people go and purchase items grown by actual farmers in the area. The farmers sell the freshest of products to the masses of people walking around.
Now one very important thing to remember is this Farmers Market is certified. This means that anyone selling items there has to be selling produce grown in the area, sold only by the person growing the produce, and that they’ve passed all the State’s quality guidelines.
So essentially you are supporting your local economy by purchasing at one of these markets.

But there is more. You can find products here that you’ll never find in your grocery store. Some items that are too fragile or large for most stores to accept can be purchased here. In fact, several vendors carry vine-ripened items, unlike the regular store where items ripen off the vine. You’ll notice a difference in taste and quality for sure.
 But vegetables are not the only items you are going to find at the market. There is plenty more items that will appear to everyone. Here you can find cheese, breads, clothing, nuts, honey, lotions, jewelry, pottery, tamales, and so much more. The list change every week but one thing that doesn’t is the quality and fun the experience can bring.
One of the most popular items at the Temecula Farmers Market is certainly the kettle corn. If you’ve never had this experience, you are certainly missing out. While some brands offer a microwave popped version, they don’t compare to the actual stuff. It is actually popped in a kettle right in front of you! The flavor is salty sweet and a special treat in the warm Temecula sun.

It will give you a sense of what our community can do and offer. Plus many of the sellers here will negotiate on prices and give locals a better deal than market if you ask.
Finally, if you are hungry look for the fresh crepe booth. These are the best crepes you will ever experience. They are prepared fresh in front of you in just a few minutes and are delicate and delicious, certainly not something to miss.
