Horse Events Are BIG Business In Temecula, California!!!
 If you love horse events, then there is no reason that you would not love Temecula horse events.
Many people would go as far as to call it the Southern California home of horses. Why would it not be?
The near perfect weather allows you to ride year round and even the land itself is perfect for horses with its rolling hills and beautiful scenery.
On top of that, Temecula is very horse-friendly with miles of trails just for riding. If that is not enough, the large number of horse lovers keep these events happening. Of all the months, however, March is the time to be in Temecula for these equestrian events.
The Kick Off Of Horse Events In Temecula, California
 It all really kicks off in mid March every year at Galway Downs for the So Cal Hunter/Jumper Show. Soon after that to the Event Derby.
There you will find plenty of clinics to sharpen you horse skills. This is all a build up to Galway Downs big horse event, the International Horse Trials.
All of this happens right where much of the equestrian events took place during the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. Throughout these events you will see Jumping and Cross Country events as well as Dressage, the new rising equestrian star.
 If Arabian horses are more your thing, then you want to head over to the Green Acres Ranch to watch the up and coming stars at the youth competitions. The first competition is in mid March. The shows here are for both beginning riders and the riders that just need to hone there skill a bit to get ready for more fierce competition at larger shows.
You might miss this one because it coincides with the Galway Downs horse event (it is not the only show they do). They also have Temecula horse events in May and again after the summer heat in October. Galway Downs has the biggest show but, they are not the only game in town. Green Acres Ranch also offers lessons, boarding and even lets you schedule birthday parties.
The Temecula Valley Paint Horse Club
 No list of horse event would be complete with out leaving room for an American classic, the Paint. The Temecula Valley Paint Horse Club has made sure of that.
Just when you thought you had a spare weekend in March they have their March Madness March. This is their only 4 judge show.
The rest of the year is not slow for them either. They also have Temecula horse events in August, late September and early October too.
