The Temecula Middle Schools are one part of a very large school district here in the Temecula Valley.
The Temecula Valley Unified School District covers approximately 148 square miles. The school district has under it 12 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 2 charter schools, a K-8 Home School and continuation education high school. Temecula Unified School District also has 3 comprehensive high schools. With approximately 21,000 students enrolled.
 The standard of education is considered to be the best in California. There is a constant effort on the part of Temecula Valley Unified School District to create programs that are innovative as well as intrinsic to the growth of its students. Often the entire community is taken into consideration in the making of these programs.
There are five middle schools in the Temecula unified school district. They include Bella Vista Middle School, James Day L Middle School, Erle Stanley Gardner Middle School, Margarita Middle School, Temecula Middle School, Vail Ranch Middle School, which is a California Distinguished School.

 Of the Temecula schools, one particular Middle School deserves mention. It functions under principal Jim Flesuras and has an enrollment of some 1277 students for its grades between 6 and 8.
This school is “Erle Stanley Gardner Middle School”.
The curriculum here is as per the state standards and there are several enrichment activities that support the various mediums of instruction.
