 The Temecula School District strives for greatness
As a town of slightly less than one hundred thousand in population, Temecula California has a lot to offer those who choose to relocate here. And one of the brightest stars of the area is their schools.
The Temecula school district has a wide variety of schools from which to choose.
There are Christian schools, private schools, and public schools covering grades kindergarten through grade twelve and then choices among several colleges in the area as well.
Choices are among fifteen preschools, thirty elementary schools, sixteen middle schools, and eleven high schools. Those choices are broken down between private and public so there are twenty-five public schools and twenty-eight private schools.
Christian Schools
 A few examples include the Linfield Christian School which is noted for having a unified environment in which students, teachers, and parents work together in all areas of learning such as academic, physical, spiritual, and emotional strengths and development.
They have proven to be an excellent learning environment.
St. Jeanne De Lestonnac School in Temecula is Roman Catholic affiliated and parents have rated it quite highly with five out of five stars voted.
With such extracurricular activities as choir, dance, computer arts, and many sports this school, which is also highly ranked for their spiritual teachings, is an excellent choice for parents looking for a Christian school for their child.
Private vs. Public Schooling
 Choosing a private school will usually mean annual tuition fees that some simply cannot afford. One of the highest considerations to be made when selecting a school for your child should be how the teaching staff ranks.
Also the distance to school may be important, depending on your transportation issues. Bilingual is another consideration, particularly here in Southern California.
Most schools will have bilingual teachers for those who require them. How modern the buildings are and whether they have sports facilities such as playing fields and basketball courts are important to many parents, as are computer labs and safe playgrounds for the younger students.
Smaller vs. Larger Student Bodies
 Many parents prefer a smaller student population such as two hundred or less with more teacher attention paid on each individual child.
Some students need that personal attention more than others. Larger school districts may well have more funding from local taxes, enabling them to offer various, more expensive extracurricular activities such as up to the minute computer labs and make them available to all students.
