With over 30 wineries in operation, Temecula Valley welcomes anyone with a love of vino! The warm, moderated climate and granite based soil make it a perfect grape-growing spot.
Taking a wine tour is an enjoyable, low-key way to spend a day. It gives you the opportunity to fully appreciate the Temecula Valley climate while sampling some of the unique flavors that this region can offer.
Many Temecula wineries have won several awards for their wines, and take a great deal of pride in their properties, craft and creations. Selecting which ones to tour is just a matter of familiarizing yourself with what they have to offer.
Temecula's Wilson Creek Winery
This is an expansive family-owned and run winery at the end of Rancho California Road. Wilson Creek has over 70 acres of vineyards which they are happy to show you from the air.
The winery runs hot air balloon rides every day of the week if you are interested in taking to the skies. You can enjoy a low ride over the property to soak in the lush scenery.
Wilson Creek also boasts well-designed facilities for any private event, including an expansive pavilion, gazebo and stage for live jazz performances. This winery truly offers a complete package: class, culture and a warm family atmosphere.
Foote Print Winery Is A Great Local Winery
This winery is one of the smallest Temecula Valley wineries, located on the east side of Temecula wine country. This is a certified organic farm, close to downtown Temecula that produces organically grown grapes. Foote Print Winery offers only red, unfiltered wines. It does not host events or weddings, but is rather an intimate, family operated winery. If it’s an authentic, rustic experience without the extravagance that you’re seeking, this might be the winery for you.
Ponte Winery Is Not To Be Missed!
Ponte is located in the rolling Temecula Valley hills. It is a relatively new winery, having opened in 2003, but has quickly become a favorite.
With its infamous Beverino blend and several other unique tastes, Ponte Winery is a well-liked winery for hosting wedding receptions and other private events.
If it’s simply a daytime tour you’re after, this winery is a fantastic deal. The cost for a tasting is only $10 per person on weekdays and $12 on weekends. That includes 6 wine tastings and a souvenir Ponte Winery glass.
Whatever your budget, tastes or time line, Temecula Valley wineries can meet your needs. There is no better way to appreciate Temecula than out in the sunshine with a glass of wine.
